Today, Uber Technologies, Inc., started trading on NYSE.
Its IPO offers 180,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $45.00 per share.
The underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 27,000,000 shares from certain selling stockholders at the initial public offering price less underwriting discounts and commissions.
According to a press release, the company will not receive any proceeds from any sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on May 10, 2019, under the symbol “UBER.”
The offering is expected to close on May 14, 2019, subject to customary closing conditions.
Uber Technologies is a multinational ridesharing company offering services that include peer-to-peer ridesharing, ride service hailing, food delivery, and a bicycle-sharing system.
