Zilingo, a Singapore-based fashion and lifestyle ecommerce startup, raised $226m in Series D funding.
Backers in the round, which brought total capital raised by the company to date to $308m, included Sequoia Capital and Temasek Holdings, EDBI, Burda Principal Investments, and Sofina.
The company intends to use the capital to invest in technology and expand in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Australia during the current year.
Co-founded in 2015 by Ankiti Bose, CEO, and Dhruv Kapoor, CTO, Zilingo is a fashion and lifestyle marketplace selling products is such categories as Clothing, Bags, Shoes, Jewellery, Accessories, Watches, Baby & Kids, Skin Care, Bath & Body, Makeup, Electronics, Home) from Southeast Asia and China. The platform also provides merchants with tools to increase reach, manage inventory, and get facilities such as free shipping, free packaging, and doorstep pickup.
