Raises $1.25M in Seed Financing Round

ZAPinfo (formerly known as WebClipDrop), a Minneapolis, MN-based information automation (IA) platform, raised $1.25m in seed funding.

Backers included Rally Ventures, Seven Peaks Ventures, and Great North Labs.

The company intends to use the funds to expand market share, accelerate product innovation and accelerate growth driven by key strategic partnerships in the recruiting and marketing automation areas.

Founded in 2016 by entrepreneurs Doug Berg, Peter Brasket, and Evan Carothers, ZAPinfo provides a tool and platform for recruiting and sales professionals to automate their daily tasks, simplifying and speeding the process of capturing, enriching and sharing information across the web and making the transfer of info between talent technology applications easy.

ZAPinfo facilitates the recruiting and sales process allowing users to “zap” any contact into the user’s browser clipboard, enriches that contact by finding direct contact information such as their email address, resume and social profile information, and sends the data into a company’s CRM, ATS, marketing applications, or any web-based application.
