Fever, a Madrid, Spain-based entertainment and experience company, secured $20m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Atresmedia and Labtech with participation from existing backers Accel Partners and 14W Ventures.
The company intends to use the new funds to expand into new markets across Europe and North America.
Led by former McKinsey analyst and MIT graduate Ignacio Bachiller, CEO, Fever provides a mobile app and website, which, together with its data-led editorial arm Secret Media Network, reaches over 12 million unique users per week across its key markets (London, New York, Paris and Madrid), allowing them to discover the events in their city. Using a recommendation algorithm, the app features personalized listings and transactional capabilities for everything from music festivals and gigs to theatre, fashion, restaurants and pop-ups.
Fever and the SecretMedia group operate in New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, Bilbao, Ibiza, Lisbon and Malaga.
