Wasabi Technologies, Inc., a Boston, MA-based hot storage startup, raised $10.8m in financing.
CloudScale Capital Partners, LLC, participated in the round.
Created by Carbonite co-founders and cloud storage pioneers David Friend and Jeff Flowers, Wasabi provides a cloud-based object storage service compatible with Amazon S3. It uses Amazon’s Direct Connect capabilities to allow high speed transfer of data to and from Wasabi from Amazon’s other cloud services, such as EC2.
Using Wasabi, developers can build applications starting small and growing as they wish, with no compromise on performance or reliability.
