Dwelo Raises $4.9m in Funding

Dwelo, a Salt Lake City, UT-based smart home platform for apartments, raised $4.9m in funding.

The round was led by Peterson Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its geographic reach and to invest in both the resident and manager experience on the platform.

Co-founded by Eric Wood and David Beenfield and led by Michael Rovito, CEO, Dwelo is a provider of cloud-based mobile and web applications that enable renters to benefit from the savings and security of a smart home, while streamlining management’s operations with digital access, vacant unit control, etc.

The company, which works in nearly 100 communities across the Western U.S., provides the technology platform necessary for owners to offer smart homes as an amenity to their residents, as well as Dwelo Smart Services, which include strategy consultations with ownership, project management, on-site training, and ongoing in-house customer support.
