Episode Six Limited, a Hong Kong-based developer of software platforms for payment products such as debit cards and prepaid cards, raised funding from SBI Investment Co., Ltd. through the FinTech Fund.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Established in July 2015 by John Mitchell, CEO, Episode Six develops software platforms to financial services firms, e-commerce companies, and a range of enterprises that issue payment products such as debit card and prepaid card.
The company’s platforms allow companies to design payment card’s features such as its functionality and the details of a customer-loyalty point program according to its strategy and the needs of its customers, something enabled through connection with an API. Such platforms also allow the user to make changes to a payment card’s features on an online administration portal, this enabling even a non-IT department job-owner officer to modify and enhance a payments program.
