Italian private equity firm Clessidra SGR has appointed Federico Ghizzoni, former CEO of Unicredit, as its new executive deputy chairman.
Ghizzoni, who joined Clessidra in September 2016 as an independent Board member, following the change of ownership of Clessidra by Italmobiliare.
Clessidra’s shareholders also appointed international investment banking veteran Matteo Canonaco as independent Board member of the firm.
Created in 2003 and today led by Mario Fera, CEO, Clessidra manages private equity funds dedicated to the Italian market, with a total of approximately €2.5 billion of assets under management. Investments include Harmont & Blaine, Buccellati, Roberto Cavalli, Cerved, Prenergy, Sirti, Sisal, etc.
