Social Academy Raises €500K in Funding

social_academySocial Academy, a Rome, Italy-based platform for people to discover learning opportunities and receive job placement services, raised €500k in funding.

Backers included MTA listed LVenture Group, Lazio Innova and other unnamed investors.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its operations.

Founded in 2015 by Andrea Genovese, CEO, Social Academy provides people with a platform to find courses, compare their content and costs, request additional information and finally book them, and companies to create promote and manage physical and online courses.
The company says it has already provided job orientation services to over 55k users and aggregates the courses, career coaching sessions, skill games and job opportunities from approx. 200 learning organizations on the platform.
