Seventeen Raises €4.2M in Series A Funding

Seventeen, a Naples, Italy-based medtech startup, raised €4.2m in Series A funding.

Backers included Panakès Partners and Innogest.

The company intends to use the funds to finalize the technology and clinically validate it in order to obtain the CE mark.

Led by Prof. Francesco Izzo, researcher and surgeon, Massimo Romanelli and Lucio Fumi, Seventeen has developed a system that enables the destruction of the tumor via the intracancer injection of a biocompatible gel with radioactive particles capable to optimize efficiency and minimize collateral effects.
