Dice, a London, UK-based mobile ticketing startup, raised $6m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from Lumia Capital and existing backers White Star Capital, Designer Fund and Kima Ventures, and some angel investors from the music industry.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to hire new people and expand operations.
Led by CEO Phillip Hutcheon, Dice is a live music discovery and mobile ticketing platform that allows users to search for, browse and buy tickets to a curated selection of music gigs, concerts and festivals without booking fees.
Tickets are linked to the device they’re purchased on and people no longer need to print a ticket again.
All of the tickets sold on Dice are sourced directly from artists, promoters and venues. Since launch, over 700 artists have sold their tickets on the platform including Taylor Swift, Disclosure, Jamie XX, George Ezra, Skepta, Jack White, Four Tet, Justin Bieber, Alabama Shakes and Years & Years.
