Jumio, a Palo Alto, CA-based digital ID verification company, secured $15m in financing.
Backers included Centana Growth Partners LP and Millennium Technology Value Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing efforts, accelerate product development and international expansion, and to hire across its offices in Austria, the UK and U.S.
Led by Steve Stuut, CEO, Jumio provides Netverify, a digital ID verification solution for financial services, travel, gaming and emerging shared economy companies to strictly adhere to industry regulations including know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
Jumio uses computer vision technology to verify credentials issued by over 200 countries in real time web and mobile transactions.
