AirDog, a Palo Alto, CA- and Riga, Latvia-based manufacturer of foldable drones designed for self-video shooting in action sports, received an investment from Social Discovery Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company, which has already launched retail in Europe and US, plans to use the funds to further expand into new markets.
Founded by Edgars Rozentals, AirDog is a self-flying action sports drone featuring motion prediction technology and dedicated action sport flight modes that enable users to capture themselves in action in the most demanding conditions.
Using AirLeash, a wearable, waterproof controller, users select the sport and launch AirDog, which will capture moves.
