Kimera Systems, a Portland, Oregon-based developer of commercial human-like intelligence technology for connected devices, closed its angel round of funding.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to begin scaling its Nigel™ artificial general intelligence (or AGI) technology and bring it to market.
Led by Mounir Shita, founder and CEO, Kimera Systems produces human-like awareness technology to make phones and other networked devices smarter. Nigel™ learns and becomes aware of people’s personal needs and the context of their activities. With this awareness, it transforms passive apps and devices into a dynamic services environment that constantly adapts to and assist people in their everyday lives.
