Consumer Fitness Platform Zenrez Raises $2M in Funding

zenrezZenrez, a San Francisco, CA-based consumer fitness platform designed for last-minute bookings, raised $2m in funding.

Backers included Artis Ventures, Summit Action Fund (investment arm of Summit Series) and Precursor Ventures.

The company, which has raised a total of $4m, intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth and expansion of Zenrez, making the platform available to US consumers and businesses.

Led by Matthew Capizzi, co-founder & CEO, Zenrez provides a promotional booking platform that allows people to discover fitness studios and book yoga, cycling, bootcamp, and barre classes last-minute. Partnered with boutique studio and franchise brands, including Orangetheory Fitness, Yoga Tree, TRX Training Center, The Bar Method, among others, the solution has facilitated more than 75,000 reservations for fitness studios.
The company is also announcing a new strategic partnership with Mindbody, a provider of software for class and appointment-based businesses, and the launch of ZenrezMedia, a source for content about boutique fitness studios, which will feature videos including insights from experts, and focus on topics revolving around the fitness class experience.
