Perthera, Inc., a McLean, Va.-based Precision Cancer Analysis technology developer, completed an $8.7M Series A financing.
The round was led by Pilot Growth Equity. In conjunction with the funding, Neil Callahan, a co-founder and managing director of Pilot Growth Equity, joined Perthera’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the tech platform.
Co-founded by Emmanuel “Chip” Petricoin, PhD, and Dendy Young and led by CEO Andrew Mignatti, Perthera develops a tech platform providing physicians with detailed molecular information about cancer tumors to increase their ability to identify prospective treatment options personalized to the individual patient.
