FIGS Raises $5M in Series A Funding

FIGS_womensFIGS, a Los Angeles-based medical apparel startup, raised $5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Campfire Capital.

The company, which has raised $10m in funding to date, intends to use the funds to increase inventory, explore and expand new product categories, and scale its team.

Founded in 2013 by Heather Hasson and Trina Spear, FIGS identified a need for alternatives to currently available products in the medical scrubs industry by offering technical apparel that features fashion-forward design, wrinkle resistant, stain repellent fabrics, multiple pockets that function to carry medical supplies, four-way stretch to support a wide range of movement, and anti-microbial treatments to reduce the rate of hospital-acquired infection.
