Magic Add, a Turku, Finland-based smart packaging company, raised US $250k in angel funding.
The company will use the funds for product development and creation of an international network of suppliers and customers.
Led by President and CEO Samuli Manninen, Magic Add is a smart packaging company whose technology embeds coding into packaging, which can capture data along the supply chain and provide information to customers.
With applications in advertising, logistics, and process optimisation, Magic Add attracts customers with rewards like media content and store discount codes, to enable shipment tracking and feedback collection, and reduce food waste.
The company has been working in partnership with global food packaging specialist Huhtamaki on digitalized applications for foodservice packaging and has also entered into cooperative agreements with other international companies.
