Replay Technologies, a Newark, CA-based developer of a service that encourages viewers to experience live events from any perspective, raised $13.5M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners.
The company, which has raised $27M since inception, intends to use the funds for development of next-generation, multi-dimensional video imaging technologies.
Led by Oren Yogev, CEO and co-founder, Replay Technologies has introduced Free Dimensional Video (FreeDTM), which allows viewers to see and experience real-life scenes through immersive camera views from multiple angles.
With the support provided by DTCP, the company aims to find new opportunities for its technology in Europe and the U.S., and plans to extend into more sporting events and other types of live entertainment following NFL and NBA events in the USA.
The company has its R&D center in Tel-Aviv, Israel. It is hiring.
