KnowBe4 Closes $8M Series A Funding

KB4-logoKnowBe4 Inc., a Clearwater, Florida-based security awareness training and integrated phishing platform, closed $8m Series A funding.

The round was led by Elephant Partners, a new venture capital fund co-founded by Jeremiah Daly and Warby Parker co-founder Andy Hunt.

The capital intends to use the funds to accelerate product development, sales and marketing efforts.

Co-founded by Kevin Mitnick and Stu Sjouwerman, KnowBe4 provides an integrated Security Awareness Training and Simulated Phishing platform that allows organizations to manage the problem of social engineering tactics by training users to recognize red flags via tools that enable IT to send simulated phishing emails to users.
Users can also use an Outlook Phish Alert Button to send any suspicious email to IT in a safe manner, which gives IT an added human firewall layer of defense.
More than 1,500 organizations currently use the platform across all industries, including highly regulated fields such as finance, healthcare, energy, government and insurance.
