Sckipio Technologies Receives Investment from Intel Capital

sckipioSckipio Technologies, a Ramat Gan, Israel-based fabless semiconductor company, received an investment from Intel Capital.

The amount of the deal, Sckipio’s third round of funding, was not disclosed.

The company, which had previously raised $27m from venture capital firms Amiti Ventures, Aviv Ventures, Genesis Partners, Gemini Israel Ventures and Pitango Venture Capital, intends to use the funds to increase technology investments to accelerate innovations in the broadband access market.

Founded in 2012 by David Baum, CEO, Sckipio Technologies develops standards-compliant G.fast modems used to enable ultra-broadband access and mobile backhaul. The company partners with more than 30 companies globally on G.fast and is one of the leading contributors to the ITU-T standard.
