Model9, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based cloud data management solutions for mainframes, raised $9m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Intel Capital with participation from existing investors StageOne, North First Ventures and GlenRock Israel.
The company intends to use the funds for global expansion and further enhancement of technology and product offerings.
Led by Gil Peleg, founder and CEO, Model9 provides data management and business intelligence solutions used by Global 2000 enterprises including the world’s leading financial services institutes, government agencies and transportation companies. Its patented technology delivers mainframe data to any cloud or on-premise storage platform, eliminating tape and virtual tape, and enabling secure integration with advanced analytics tools. The company is a graduate of the IBM AlphaZone startup program as well as an AWS Advanced Technology Partner.
