Edgecase, an Austin, Texas-based provider of a curated product data platform for e-commerce, secured $7.5m in growth financing.
The round, which brought total funding to $15.5m, was led by Austin Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop the product data enrichment IP that powers its Product Curation Engine and to accelerate sales and marketing efforts.
Founded in 2012 and led by Susanne Bowen, CEO, Edgecase provides curated product data for retail allowing shoppers to find what they are actually looking for. By identifying and creating enriched product attributes that align with how consumers think and communicate, Edgecase allows retailers to speak the language of their shoppers leveraging Adaptive Navigation tools.
Retailers using Edgecase include Crate & Barrel, LD Products, Pier 1, Sur La Table and Urban Decay.
