Agora, Inc., a Palo Alto, CA-based communications as a service (CaaS) provider, received $20M in Series B funding.
Backers included Morningside, SIG, GGV Capital, ShunWei, and IDG.
The company, which has raised $25.9m in total funding, will use the capital to further expand its global infrastructure and sales and marketing initiatives.
Founded in 2014, Agora provides a communications as a service (CaaS) delivering voice and video communications across devices and networks globally via an SDK. The company enables software applications to support as many as 2,000 users on a single call. Its customers provide HD real-time communication services to organizations in the financial services, education, telemedicine, human resources, customer service, and social media industries.
The company also announced global availability of Agora Voice, which aims to go beyond current WebRTC services by providing higher quality of experience (QoE) on a global scale.
