Cleantech Invest Receives Series A Investment

Finland_FlagCleantech Invest, a Helsinki, Finland-based investment and development company focused on clean energy and efficient use of natural resources, received a Series A minority investment of undisclosed amount. 

The round was led by Zhejiang Ruiyang Technologies Company (Ruiyang), with participation from Epstein Advisors, led by Dave Epstein, business angel and entrepreneur with a venture capitalist background who resides in Palo Alto, California, and GLD Invest, a Stockholm based private company investing in the early venture phase of companies.

With the emission of 1,170,000 new series A shares, the new shareholders get 6% of the company.

Established in 2005 and led by CEO Alexander Lidgren, Cleantech Invest invests in promising early-stage and growth cleantech companies in Finland, Sweden and in the Baltic Sea area. The company owns minorities in a diversified portfolio of companies including Swap.com, One1, Nuuka Solutions, Sofi Filtration, Oricane, Savosolar, Metgen, Nocart, Aurelia Turbines, Enersize, BT Wood, Lumeron, Watty, Sansox, and PlugSurfing, and is actively looking for new investment targets in energy pruduction, new materials and recycling, clean water and air, and energy storage, quality, transfer and efficiency.
