DocPlanner Raises $10M in Series B Funding

DocPlanner, a Warsaw, Poland-based provider of a medical appointment booking platform, raised $10m in Series B funding round.

The round, which brought total funding to $14m, was led by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with participation from Fabrice Grinda (Airbnb, Uber), Lukasz Gadowski (Delivery Hero), and existing investors Point Nine Capital, Piton Capital and RTAventures.

The company intends to use the funds to scale the team and hire senior managers (http://www.docplanner.com/career#jobs-offers), further improve the product, and begin commercializing two new markets in 2015.

Launched in 2012 by Mariusz Gralewski, DocPlanner is a platform for finding and booking appointments with medical and dental professionals. It allows users to search for and book appointments with nearby medical professionals. The service also features a review and rating system and a cloud-based appointment calendar that shows a doctor’s availability.
The platform, which has over seven million unique monthly visitors and over 1.4 million doctors and dentists resulting in more than 100,000 appointments booked per month, is today available in 25 markets across Europe, South America and Asia.
