Artivest Raises $15M in Venture Capital Funding

artivestArtivest, a New York City-based technology platform that connects private equity and hedge funds with an audience of investors, raised $15m in funding.

The round was led by KKR, with participation from existing investors RRE Ventures, Peter Thiel, Nyca Partners, Anthemis Group and FinTech Collective. In conjunction with the funding, Ed Brandman, KKR’s Chief Information Officer, will join Artivest’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of its technology, infrastructure and sales teams and execute its product roadmap.

Founded in 2012 by CEO James Waldinger, Artivest provides access at lower investment minimums to a select assortment of privately offered alternative investment funds. To date, Artivest has offered premier private equity and venture capital funds and will soon be offering hedge funds.
Features for qualified investors include accessible investment minimums, online access to displays of fund metrics and electronic completion of all legal documentation. Funds use the company’s solution to manage investor relations and client operations at scale.

Artivest is a FINRA member registered Broker Dealer.
