ZenPayroll Raises $60M in Funding

zenpayrollZenPayroll, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of online payroll software built for small businesses, raised $60m in round of funding.

The round was led by Google Capital with participation from Emergence Capital Partners, Ribbit Capital, as well as existing investors General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Google Ventures.

The company, which has raised $86.1m to date, intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations.

Launched in 2012 by Joshua Reeves, CEO, ZenPayroll automates payroll taxes and compliance to allow employers to strengthen their relationships with employees. The platform is currently processing billions of dollars in annual payroll for more than 10,000 small businesses across the country.
Today, the company supports businesses in 47 states and the District of Columbia, employs approximately 84 people and is continuing to hire.

By the end of April, ZenPayroll will support businesses nationwide.
