Degreed Raises $7M in Series A Funding

degreedDegreed, a San Francisco, CA and Salt Lake City, UT-based edtech startup, raised $7m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Signal Peak Ventures with participation from Peak Ventures, Deborah Quazzo of GSV Advisors and other existing investors.

The company intends to use the funds for product development and demand generation.

Founded in 2012 by David Blake, CEO, Degreed provides individuals and organizations with a platform to track, measure and validate all academic, professional and informal learning and including libraries of curated learning content from thousands of different platforms and partners.
Launched in January 2013, the company participated in the Kaplan EdTech Accelerator powered by TechStars in Summer 2013. In 2014, it launched its enterprise product in 2014, which already serves companies large (300,000+ employees) and small (50 employees).
