SureCash Pte Ltd*, a Bangladesh-based fintech startup, raised $7m in Series B venture capital funding.
The Osiris Group made the investment, which followed a Series A round raised from a group of Japanese investors specializing in the e-commerce industry.
Founded in 2010 by Dr. Shahadat Khan, SureCash operates a mobile banking and payment platform that allows users with a mobile phone to deposit cash, send money, make purchases, and pay bills.
*SureCash Pte Ltd is a private mobile money company incorporated in Singapore, operating its Bangladesh business using wholly-owned subsidiary, Progoti Systems Limited founded in 2010 by Dr. Khan.
SureCash currently employs 135 people in Bangladesh.
