Smartphone manufacturer ZTE USA established a new innovation fund at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Led and managed by Jeff Yee, who created the first developer ecosystem for mobile commerce applications while at AT&T, Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA and George Zhengzhi Hou, VP, ZTE Mobile Devices & Mobile Internet, ZTE Innovation Venture Fund is designed to bring innovative mobile applications and content to the North American market. It provides mobile application developers and startups with equity and strategic partnership opportunities to jointly innovate. It also offers access to a global audience through the tens of millions of smart mobile devices, from smartphones to smart media streaming projectors, shipped worldwide every year.
The first to join the ZTE Innovation Venture Fund is Azumio, the creator of Fitness Buddy, a weight-training and fitness application.
