VMTurbo Raises $50M in Seres D Funding

vmturboVMTurbo, a Boston, MA-based real-time demand-driven control platform for the software-defined universe, raised $50m in Seres D funding.

The round was led by ICONIQ Capital, with participation from Bain Capital, Globespan Capital Partners, Highland Capital Partners and a number of strategic investor.

The company intends to use the funds for continued new product development and growth.

Led by Founder and President Shmuel Kliger and CEO Ben Nye, VMTurbo provides a control platform that enables customers to manage cloud and enterprise virtualization environments to assure application performance while maximizing resource utilization. Its technology dynamically analyzes demand from applications, containers, network and VDI and adjusts configuration, resource allocation and workload placement to meet service levels and business goals.
Launched in August 2010, it and now has more than 1,000 customers including center banks, financial institutions, social and e-commerce sites, carriers and service providers.
Customers include JP Morgan Chase, Salesforce.com and Thomson Reuters, among others.
