Okanjo, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based advertising technology and ecommerce company, raised $1.7m in a combination of debt and equity round.
The backers remained undisclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to to scale the team and operations to speed up the development and launch Native Commerce.
Led by Brendon Thomas, president, Okanjo provides Native Commerce, an ecommerce-enabled advertising solution that allows brands to sell products or offers directly on any third-party web page.
The company will launch its new Native Commerce platform with Capital Newspapers, a partnership between LEE Enterprises (NYSE:LEE) and The Capital Times Company.
