Kitchit Closes $7.5M Series A Funding

kitchitKitchit, a San Francisco-based on-demand in-home restaurant experience platform, closed a $7.5M Series A funding round.

The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Alex Gurevich and Noah Doyle of Javelin Venture Partners have been added to Kitchit’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of the marketplace.

Co-founded by Brendan Marshall and Ian Ferguson, Kitchit provides Kitchit Marketplace, which allows customers to book personal chefs for fully customizable experiences. The Tonight version of the service is available Tuesday through Sunday, offering three signature menus that feature a starter, entrée and dessert.
Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available — all for the price of $39 per person.

The service currently serves the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York markets.
