DB Networks Raises $17M in Financing


DB Networks, a San Diego, CA-based provider of a cyber security platform, raised $17m in financing.

The round was led by Grotech Ventures with participation from Khosla Ventures and Citi Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Joe Zell, general partner at Grotech Ventures, joined DB Networks’ board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand product portfolio and scale the business.

Led by Brett Helm, Chairman and CEO, DB Networks provides a platform that enables customers to gain insights and a situational awareness of their database security and core network attack surface to take specific proactive actions to reduce the risk of a data breach.
Intelligent continuous monitoring ensures attacks against the database are immediately identified.
Customers include financial institutions, healthcare providers, manufacturers, government agencies, and the military.
