Elliptic, a London, UK-based digital asset services company, completed a $2m funding.
The round was led by Octopus Investments, with participation from other unnamed angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds for further product development and customer acquisition among hedge funds and law firms.
Launched in January 2014 by Dr James Smith, CEO, Elliptic provides Elliptic Vault, an insured Bitcoin storage service that combines physical and cryptographic security for businesses and financial institutions.
A customer is the recently announced Jersey-based Global Advisors Bitcoin Investment Fund, the first regulator-approved fund of its kind.
