Santa Monica, CA-based TYLT Lab, held the first close of its early stage fund for Southern California-based companies at $20m.
Led by L.A. entrepreneurs Rami Rostami and Gerard Casale, the fund makes seed-to-A round investments in companies focusing on consumer lifestyle products, mobile platforms and services, home automation, software focused on transactions and engagements, consumer goods, clean technology, e-healthcare, and entertainment.
They plan to make 12-15 investments in 2014 ranging from $50k to a maximum of $2m per operation.
