FiftyThree Raises $15M in Funding

FiftyThree, a NYC-based startup that is building a suite of mobile tools for creativity, raised $15m in funding.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (Chris Dixon blogged about it here), with participation from Highline Ventures, Thrive Capital, SV Angel, and Jack Dorsey.

The company intends to use the capital to expand their engineering teams in New York and Seattle, and broaden their offerings across software, services, and hardware.

Co-founded by Jonathan Harris, Georg Petschnigg, Andrew S Allen and Julian Walker, FiftyThree is the company behind Paper, an iPad app that allows users to capture ideas as sketches, diagrams, illustrations, notes or drawings and share them across the web.
