Fanplayr Closes $2M Funding

Fanplayr, Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based start-up focused on data-driven conversion solutions for e-commerce, closed a $2m funding.

The round was led by Denali Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate development, including building out their mobile platform offering and expanding their distribution channels.

Led by Simon Yencken, CEO, Fanplayr has developed a platform for e-commerce merchants that analyzes site and visitor traffic to determine the optimal value and timing of purchase incentives. The company’s two proprietary products, “Smart & Targeted Offers” and “Gamified Coupons & Offers” help marketers identify, profile and target visitors with customized offers and employ basic game mechanics to distribute incentives. The platform integrates with e-commerce carts including Magento, Shopify, ZenCart, Presta Shop, Lemonstand and WordPress.

In conjunction with the funding, Denali’s chairman, Richard Cawsey, will join the company’s board.
