Mobiplug Networks Secures $2.7M in Series A Funding

Mobiplug Networks Inc., a Boulder, CO-based provider of a all-in-one home monitoring and control solution, has secured $2.7m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Foundry Group, with participation from David Cohen, SK Ventures, Social Leverage, Clarion Direct Investment, and others.

Co-founded by Lee Taylor, Mike Soucie, and Jeff Mathews and led by newly appointed CEO Tim Enwall and a recent TechStars Boulder 2012 graduate, Mobiplug delivers a home monitoring and control system that connects wirelessly-enabled household items (like locks, thermostats, lights, outlets and shades) that are available from retailers such as Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Best Buy, and integrates them regardless of different manufacturers or wireless protocols used.

In conjunction with the funding, Foundry Group’s Ryan McIntyre will be joining Mobiplug’s Board of Directors.

The company is currently hiring people in mobile development (iOS and Android), mobile UX, mobile UI, cloud platform, and wireless protocol and embedded Linux engineering (http://jobs.mobiplug.co/).
