TekLinks Acquired by Pamlico Capital

TekLinks Inc., a Birmingham, Alabama-based provider of technology and cloud services, has received a majority investment of undisclosed amount from Pamlico Capital.

Pamlico, which acquired TekLinks from Symmetric Capital and other unnamed shareholders, will help the company continue expand regionally.

Founded in 2001 by President Stuart Raburn and led by newly appointed Jim Akerhielm, an executive with over 20 years of experience in the communications and technology services industry,  TekLinks provides complex solutions and managed and cloud services to businesses throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the Gulf South.
The company has developed and offers a suite of managed and hosted IT services, which are delivered through three SSAE 16 Type-II audited data centers. It partners with technology vendors like Cisco, EMC, VMware, Microsoft and Citrix.
Following the transaction, Stuart Raburn will become a member of the Board of Directors, retaining an ownership position in TekLinks, and focusing on strategic initiatives going forward.
