Scribble Technologies Raises $4M in Funding

Scribble Technologies Inc., a Toronto, Canada real-time content publishing and delivery solution, has raised $4m in new funding.

The round was led by Summerhill Venture Partners, with participation from existing early stage investor Rogers Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to strengthen its market position and expand its sales, marketing and software development activities, as well as accelerate the growth of its LiveArticle™ service, which allows news organizations to create a real-time news article that summarizes an ongoing event. LiveArticle can feature multiple contributors and includes photos, videos, audio files and social media content.

Additionally, Scribble is working with some top news agencies such as The Associated Press, The Press Association, Agencia EFE and Thomson Reuters, on innovative uses of its flagship service, ScribbleLive™.

Led by CEO Michael De Monte, Scribble offers a real-time content publishing platform that enables media companies and large organizations such as Mashable, the New York Daily News, CBS Sports and Sky News deliver timely, relevant and engaging content.
