KOALA.CH, a Châtonnaye, Switzerland-based online shoe retalier, has raised about CHF2.5m (approximately €2.0m) from Alven Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to further develop the business, by accelerating marketing investments, and expanding its product catalog. It plans to double the number of brands and models within the next six months.
Co-founded in 2010 by Valentin Cogels and Matthias Fröhlich, KOALA.CH currently offers a large choice of men, women and children shoes (almost 800 models from nearly 60 brands, including Timberland, Reebok, Tamaris, Geox, HUB, Sorel, Nike, UGG or Aigle).
According to written statement, the company, which has a team of 11 employees, foresees a turnover of CHF1m in its first year of activity.
