Dashlane Closes $5m Series A Funding

Dashlane, a New York City and Paris, France-based consumer Internet startup, has closed a $5m Series A funding.

The round was co-led by Rho Ventures and FirstMark Capital, with participation from the company’s co-founder and investor Bernard Liautaud.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its product offering.

Led by CEO Emmanuel Schalit, Dashlane is building a consumer Internet application designed to expedite online transactions and activities, enabling mobile and computer users to perform all their online activities with high levels of speed, and security.
In the coming weeks, the company will open up its private beta.

In conjunction with the funding, Habib Kairouz, managing partner at Rho Ventures, and Rick Heitzmann, managing director of FirstMark Capital, will join Bernard Liautaud and Schalit on the company’s board.
