Yext Raises $10m in Funding

Yext, a NYC-based business listings company, has raised a $10m in funding.

The round was led by WGI Group, with participation from existing investors Sutter Hill Ventures and Institutional Venture Partners (IVP).

The company intends to use the funds to develop PowerListings, a technology that synchronizes and enriches organic business listings across a network of premium sites and mobile apps. It allows businesses to take control of their listings from a single point to get their basic info corrected, put up photos, specials offers and more, and also get tracking and reporting on their searches and profile views.

The company, which was founded in 2006 by CEO Howard Lerman, President Brian Distelburger and Brent Metz, is currently hiring for more than 50 open positions (http://www.yext.com/pl/yext/company-careers.html).
