Mainio Vire Acquired by HgCapital

Mainio Vire, a Finnish private social care company, has been acquired by HgCapital from MB Funds.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to continue to grow organically in both current and adjacent sub-sectors and through potential acquisitions.

Founded in 1997, and led by CEO Kristiina Hautakangas, Mainio Vire provides services in four business areas including elderly care, mental health, child day-care and home services. Headquartered in Helsinki, the company operates 54 care homes with 1,675 beds and seven child day-care centres with 360 places. It employs approximately 1,150 people.
