ViajaNet, a Sao Paulo Brazil-based online travel agency, has raised $19m in growth funding.
The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from General Catalyst.
The company intends to use the capital to improve the site experience, expand the product offering and advance its growth plans.
Founded in 2009 by Alex Todres and Bob Rossato, in partnership with IG Expansion, ViajaNet provides its customers with a wide array of travel options online including flights, hotels, cruises and vacation packages throughout Brazil and Latin America.
The company currently employs over 120 people.
In conjunction with the funding, Pueo Keffer, Principal at Redpoint, will join ViajaNet’s board.
