Adapx Closes $5M Funding

Adapx, a Seattle, WA-based developer and provider of enterprise software for digital pens, closed a $5m funding.

Investors include existing backers OVP Venture Partners, Paladin Capital Group, and Pelion Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its digital pen product line and its multimodal product line, which is used by the military for command and control to enable Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) teams to input data into digital mapping and other intelligence systems by sketching on paper, touchscreen devices, or by speaking as they sketch on wall displays.

Led by CEO and Chairman Ken Schneider, Adapx offers products designed to allow mobile teams to collect data and collaborate in native file formats and systems (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, GIS, PDF files, ERP and CRM systems) through digital pens without transcribing paper or deploying mobile computers.
