ipadio Raises £1M from LBA

ipadio, a UK-based live phonecasting company, recently raised £1m in funding.
Investors include the company that founded ipadio (Nemisys and its two non-Executive Directors), some members of the London Business Angels and the LBA EIS Roundtable Fund.
The funds will be used to expand the business.
Founded in 2009 by Dr Mark K. Smith, ipadio enables live streaming of a telephone call from any phone to the web, allowing simultaneous cross posting to social media, blogging platforms.  
The solution is free for the general public. The commercial service introduces workflow process (moderation, group access and distribution, database integration), additional in-call functionality, and HD.
Subscription clients include The Vodafone Foundation, Amnesty International, Oxfam, Virgin Media, HomeServe, as well as thousands of phone bloggers and academic institutions worldwide.
