Kony Solutions, Inc., a San Mateo, CA-based provider of mobile solutions that enable companies to offer feature-rich mobile applications, has raised $19.1m in Series A funding from Insight Venture Partners.
As also stated by CEO Raj Koneru, The company intends to use the new funds for research and development related to the Kony Mobile Application Platform™ and to expand sales and marketing efforts worldwide.
The Kony Mobile Application Platform provides users with a tool to design, develop, deploy and manage mobile applications across all mobile systems on the market today, including over 8,500 mobile devices, tablets and popular operating systems, including applications for iPad, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, J2ME, Windows Phone 7 and Palm devices.
Clients include companies in the travel, media, retail, automotive, insurance, healthcare and financial services markets.
